Your pressure washer came with some nozzles, great! but what do they mean and how do I use them?
Pressure washers come with an assortment of nozzles. there are six types. The four nozzles on top of the pressure washer have various degree markings and colours that shoot out water in a triangle pattern that matches the label. these describe the spray pattern.
Turbo nozzles
Turbo nozzles use a rapid circular spinning motion that makes a zero degree nozzle cover like a 25. Use it on the same surfaces you would use a 0 degree and a 15 degree.
0 degree
0 Degree tip is the absolute highest pressure. when you see the max PSI rating on any pressure washer, that was achieved by using the 0 degree tip. Use a red Zero degree nozzle only for reaching high areas like Soffits, where that extra pressure gives you better access. you don’t want to use this tip for painted surfaces or wood since it can easily remove coatings or ruin softer materials.
15 degree
The yellow 15 degree nozzle is great for removing tough stains like mold and mildew from PVC fences. You want to keep the tip moving though as it still produces a strong stream, otherwise you could remove paint or damage your material.
25 Degree
This nozzle is great for cleaning sidewalks, driveways and decks. this is a great standard nozzle. Its a great place to start if you’re unsure on what tip you should be using.
40 Degree
The white nozzle offers the widest spray, it’s great for rinsing off the car or washing windows. its used for more delicate surfaces as its a lower pressure.
